I’m Warren King, the craftsman behind Houndstooth Painting. With over 175 interior painting projects completed and 50+ kitchens transformed, my mission is to elevate homes with top-tier craftsmanship.

I’ve honed my skills in workshops all across the country, training with the best in the industry. Before I began working in the trades, I earned my BFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute and subsequently worked on the supplier side of the industry before starting my own business. And I continue to invest in my technical and professional development. Most recently I completed the High Gloss training at the ZK Finishing School with Zach Kenney.

You won’t find a long list of Google reviews here, and that’s intentional. I’m not the type of person to chase attention or promote myself—my strengths lie in being object-oriented, goal-focused, and deeply dedicated to my craft. I’m introverted, sometimes shy, and even a bit insecure at times. But those very traits make me perfectly suited for the work I do.

I’m not a pushy salesman. I don’t enjoy selling, but I do love painting—especially kitchens. That’s why I focus on doing the best possible job and letting the quality of my work speak for itself. Asking for reviews is one of my weaknesses, but I’m human, and I’m okay with that.
